In the Garden

We have the incredible boon of living next door to a very generous family who has helped us since we first moved to Timber Cove - the Giacintos.

Claudia is an expert gardener and has an enormous vegetable garden that flourishes each year. With her four children now living away from home, we get to reap the benefits of the garden, taking home carrots, beets, herbs, kale, chard, broccoli, zucchini, winter squash, potatoes, and more.

We wander over to the garden across the street nearly daily to pick our vegetables for lunch, stopping to eat the ripest blackberries on the bush. Soon, we'll be passing the apples trees to sample the goods there.

These are a few pictures of Sulwen on recent trips to the garden.

Bower Park

Since we had a bunch of not-so-fun errands to run last Friday, we decided to break things up with a trip to Bower Park in Gualala. They have a small playground suitable for younger children, a pond with very loud geese, basketball courts, tennis courts, horse shoe pits, and picnic area. There were no other children there at the time but I'm sure one day we'll catch some others there at play.

Yay! We can face forward now in the car!

Bubble-Head Hairdos

Doesn't everyone have some early bath bubble-head hairdo photos? You know, before you were able to take a bath all alone and make your own, special soapy hairstyles. Well, here are Sulwen's. I couldn't resist during a kitchen sink clean-up last week. She wears them well, don't you think?

The duchess look (or something)

Sulwen is happy to hang in the sink and be a bubble head

Now how did I pull off that shape??
